The two most popular model railroad control software products today are
Railroad & Company® by Friewald Software and
Train Server/Computer Dispatcher PRO®
from KAM Industries.
We've looked carefully at the software available to model railroaders, and find
these two products to truly be "la creme-de-la-creme". We are pleased to
announce that each of these excellent software packages provides full support
for CTI.
Both "RR&Co" and "Train Server" are designed to work with CTI's
Acela
network bridge module, so you'll also want to check out the features available on our Acela
board if you wish to use either of these two software products.
In addition to CTI, RR&Co supports virtually every popular DCC system, including
products from Arnold, EasyDCC, Lenz, Lionel, Marklin, North Coast, Ramfixx, Trix,
Wangrow, Zimo, and others, making it a great choice for users who wish to integrate
CTI's cost-effective discrete control and sensing capabilities with DCC operated trains.
Computer Dispatcher uses the same
state-of-the-art centralized traffic control (CTC) program used by numerous
class I and regional railroads. KAM Industries has licensed this software and
integrated it into their patented Train Server® software interface for use with
model railroads.
Actually a full-featured suite of software tools, KAM's software programs provide for
all aspects of manual control, layout automation, and dispatching.
In addition to CTI, KAM supports a wide variety of popular DCC systems, making it a great choice
for users who wish to integrate CTI's cost-effective discrete control and sensing capabilities
with DCC operated trains.
